Your hosts
Becky and
I live in Idaho, near Hope, at the mouth of the beautiful Pack River. Our
children, Kaylee and Nan, love the great outdoors. We enjoy family outings
skiing, hiking, fishing, huckleberry picking and camping. Becky, a high school
principal with her Ph.D. in counseling, has a passion for helping people. A dedicated
mother, determined to improve the world, she continues to teach
parenting classes, work with at-risk youth, and rows boats on the Salmon River. As a fourth generation
Idahoan, my passion for river running began in 1989 while taking a kayaking
course at the University of Idaho. A great love for wilderness adventure and
outdoor cooking, coupled with the satisfaction in sharing meaningful
experiences with others, made outfitting a natural fit for me. My love for
guiding has led me through Idaho river canyons and the wilds of Alaska. Our
combined passions flow together with the unequaled resource of the Salmon River
to create unforgettable wilderness vacations for all ages. We look forward to
forging new friendships and creating memories with you and your
family.
Sincerely,
Becky and Mason Kiebert
Great Guides At K-Bear our guides are the company.
They are experienced professionals with exceptional river skills, licensed in
Idaho, and trained on the Salmon. Encyclopedias with a tan: K-Bear guides can
interpret pictographs, explain the feeding habits of river otters and migratory
fish, build sand castles and sandwiches, point out sheep trails, eagle nests
and constellations. They can pitch horseshoes and tents, bake peach cobbler in
Dutch ovens and maneuver boats through class 4 rapids. Loads of fun with easy
smiles our guides inspire "epic water-fights" and lasting
friendships.

"Thanks for a wonderful trip. Our entire family had a
fun time, but I really liked running the rapids in the 'duckie.' What a rush -
I can't wait to come back again!"
