2008 Trip Rates and Dates

5 day Wilderness Raft Adventures:
Our trips typically start the day before your launch date. The travel package you select will determine your starting point. You will either stay the first night at Corn Creek in a comfortable camp on the beach or if you are doing a lodge-to-lodge trip you will stay at a wilderness lodge across the river from the put-in at Corn Creek. The next morning your rafting trip begins. Around noon on the fifth river day of the trip, we will take-out at Carey Creek. Depending on the travel package you selected, the appropriate transportation will be available upon take-out. (Check the transportation packages below for the one that works best for you).

Trip Rates: $1379 per person
Our trips include professional river guides, all necessary rafting, camping and safety equipment, all meals, snacks, and local transportation.

Not included in trip cost is: federal tax, forest user fees, off river lodging, and gratuities.

Lodge-to-Lodge Trips: 3-5 day trips from $1625 to $1985 per person
Enjoy 3-5 fun-filled days on the river and 3-4 nights of rustic wilderness lodging, hot showers, comfortable beds, and delicious food. (Some trips include round trip charter flight from Boise, Idaho.) Call for available dates.

Transportation packages

• You fly into Boise prior to 4:00p.m. the day before your scheduled launch.
  
• We will schedule a charter flight with Salmon Air Taxi to bring you into Salmon that evening.
  
• On the last day of your trip, Salmon Air Taxi will fly you from McCall to Boise.
  
• You should arrive in Boise by 6:00 p.m.
  
• This round trip flight is approximately $295.

• Drive directly to the Salmon airport the day before your launch.
  
• We will shuttle you to the river from there.
  
• On the final day of your trip, we will shuttle you from the river to the McCall airport.
  
• Salmon Air Taxi will fly you back to your vehicle at the Salmon airport.
  
• This one-way flight is approximately $165.

Driving to Idaho from the West:

• Drive directly to the McCall, Idaho airport the day before your launch.
  
• We will arrange a charter flight with Salmon Air Taxi to bring you to Salmon.
  
• We will meet you at the Salmon airport and shuttle you to the river.
  
• On the final day of your trip, we will shuttle you from the river back to your vehicle at the McCall airport.
  
• This one-way flight is approximately $165.

• If you want to fly or drive to the Spokane, Washington area, we can meet you at 7:00 a.m. the morning before your launch date.
  
• You will ride with us to the river.
  
• On the last day of your trip, we will drive you from the river back to Spokane.
  
• There is a $70 charge per person for this option.

Deposits and Final Payments:
A trip deposit is required to reserve your launch date.
$300 deposit per person
Trip must be paid in full 60 days prior to your launch date.

Trip Insurance & Responsibility
We encourage the purchase of Trip Cancellation, Accident, and Baggage Insurance Policies. These policies cover cancellation, personal property, and personal injury. Many insurance companies offer such policies. K-Bear River Adventures, Inc. spares nothing to assure that all trips are the safest and best trips available. Safety is our top priority. However, river running is not without some risk - potential river runners must be willing to assume this risk. You will be required to sign an "assumption of risk" form prior to joining any K-Bear River Adventures, Inc. trip.

Fee Demonstration Project
The Salmon-Challis National Forest has required that we collect an 'Extra Use Fee', authorized under the Recreation Demonstration Project. The charge is $4.00 per person per day. It cannot be a part of our trip cost and will show as a separate line item on your invoice. The money collected as a result of this fee will go to maintaining the Salmon River. K-Bear River Adventures, Inc. also pays a 3% Outfitter Fee on all gross receipts collected on the Main Salmon.

Special Considerations
Please let us know if you have any medical or health conditions that may require special considerations or limitations on a wilderness expedition. All K-Bear River Trips are run in the Frank Church "River of No Return" Wilderness Area. This area is among the most remote areas in the Lower 48 States.
